I have the Kindle 2. I love its lightness and didn't want to encumber it with a "book-cover" style case, that I couldn't easily remove while reading. I chose this sleeve because of its reasonable price and the Timbuk2 brand, which I associate with high-quality, long-lasting bags and cases. The quality of the materials does not disappoint. I think that this sleeve will last forever. The inside is soft and will not scratch the Kindle. It's trivial to put the Kindle 2 in and take it out; the sleeve is not tight-fitting.

I am not entirely happy with its design, however. The dimensions of the case are a tad larger than they need to be, which causes its middle to bulge out when it is closed (imagine an air bubble between the Kindle and the case). I'm not enthusiastic about that, because I thought the sleeve would be slim and sleek. The bulge isn't that bad, but it mars the stylishness. Also, the velcro only fastens at both ends of the flap, not all along its edge, which I don't care for too much. That design decision probably makes the case easier to open, but it helps contribute to the bulge in the middle.

All in all, this sleeve suits my needs nicely. I feel free to use it to cart the Kindle around in my briefcase and backback. It isn't as sexy as I'd hoped, but it's nice enough.

"I will never use it," I defiantly declared to my wife. He had long spoken of a kindle want for our anniversary, I surprised a. He read some books about them and I liked it. GAA GAA was not about that, but she liked it and thought, the more you use, the more we would have liked. I, however, thought that nothing could take the place holding a book in hand. Call me nostalgic, or just stubborn, but I did not want to try again, despite myOpenness to all forms of technology. As if they asked me, shot that day, to give a child, I pushed off the table Verdi rejected.

Then, one night I picked up, turned the little button on top of the spring to make it sticky, and with him and try to surf with a couple of books he had bought. It 'was easy to use and the font size and readability were surprising outcome. So I decided to at least give it a shot with a book and II admit, I do not know why I was so reluctant to actually soon as it ended. This is a non-issue and the Kindle actually weighs less than most of the books so my backpack is actually easier. Through security, I just left in a rucksack and passed through the scanner. But you are not the rule for more than 10 minutes or so and I do not think this will be a big problem.

The overall look and feel of this ebook reader is great. It has a pleasing wedge shape that feels like a paperback book. The left side of the device is about as thick as a book spine, while the right side is thinner as open pages .

However, I will do such a portable ebookReaders are waterproof, because I read in my bathroom to love. I have about an hour in the bathroom and in a position to the handheld ebook reading is a great idea. For this version of the Kindle2 eBook reader, it is not a good idea to get it wet.

The other thing that I do not it's too big the screen. The device does not screen dazzle the eye, as do the backlight computers. The screen is not too large, only six inches diagonally. Amazon has recently released yet another digital book reader, the Amazon Kindle DX. This new model aims to address a common limitation on other e-book readers, whether it is the Kindle 1, Kindle 2 or the Sony PRS series. Prior to the release of this new model, the largest screen on any e-book readers in the market measure at 6-inches. Although this is a sizable dimension (good for reading books), it take a little getting used to reading magazines and newspapers on a tiny 6-inch screen.

Among other features, the new Amazon Kindle DX comes with a huge 9.7-inch making it the largest screen on any e-book readers in the market. It incorporates most of the features on the Kindle 2 and a few additional features. The features retained in this new model includes the slim design (at just 0.38"thick and about 19 ounces in weight), 3G connectivity, Whispernet, and an instant-lookup dictionary.

There are also several new features on the new Kindle DX. It has an auto-rotation features, like iPhones. You can choose to read in portrait or landscape mode by just turning the reader to the side. It also has a larger 4GB memory (the Kindle 2 has only 2GB) for you to store your e-books and mp3 files. With a larger screen I would expect that the battery lifespan of the new model will be shorter than the Kindle 2. According to Amazon, the Kindle DX too can last up to 2 weeks on a single charge.There are also some experimental features such as a basic web browser and the read-to-me function.

To make space for the large screen, the size of the keyboard on the DX has been reduced. The keys consist of small rectangular tablets much like those on cell phones. Unlike Kindle 2, the page turn buttons on the new model is only found on the right side of the reader.This gives the user a better grip over the larger Kindle DX. The additional features on the new reader does come at a price. At the time of writing, the new reader costs $489 each.
